Narpati Awangga, also known as Oomleo, is fascinated with pixelated visuals as early as his school days. As an artist who once practiced conventional creative methods such as illustration or drawing, has now embraced digital art with the changes of contemporary time.
Oomleo captures various facets of life in Indonesia and Indonesian popular culture in the intricate details of his pixel compositions. His playful, isometric representations reflect the rapid technological development in the last decade and its effect in the society. Perhaps it also makes us question, how much of our perception is influenced by digital representation?
