Inspired and influenced by S. Sudjojono’s works, Albaiquni’s chosen medium is painting. Nevertheless, his realistic depiction of the subject matter is not merely for aesthetic appreciation. Instead, Albaiquni’s paintings are often a point of departure for discourses involving social issues and criticism.

Similarly, Doa Ibu Sepanjang Zaman depicts a mythological deity and a figure of worship in Indonesian agricultural society. Albaiquni emphasizes the importance and status of females in traditional culture; a stark contrast to the problematic representation of women in contemporary Indonesian society.
