Hero,2009,50 x 50 cm,Oil on canvas
The concept of "hero" speaks of the paradoxical nature of human. We champion supermen and heroes who are powerful and capable of saving the world. Such desire may have its origin in our own fragility and mortality. It's only after being aware of the human imperfection do people start to count on heroic salvation, to dream of one's own heroic pretension. Is it a motivation or a misery? I cannot tell.
