VENICE BIENNALE 2017

Looking at the top 10 lots sold at auctions in 2016 by living Asian Artists, we confirm once again that the market is shared between China and Japan, or more strictly speaking, between Zhang Xiaogang + Zeng Fanzhi on one side, and Yoshitomo Nara + Yayoi Kusama on the other side. Like the global art market, it’s becoming more homogenous, both in pricing and in the taste of collectors.
